CASE STUDY · DHAKA

A supplier portal and RFQ workflow for Sleek Apparels

I designed and built this workflow for my own apparel business. It combines a public supplier application with an internal RFQ drafting flow that marks missing details, strips buyer identity and target price, and waits for staff to initiate any outbound message. The staff dashboard is private; its live records are not shown here.

01 / Context

A first-party workflow built around apparel sourcing

Sleek Apparels is an apparel business in Uttara, Dhaka, founded and run by Apparo's founder. This is first-party product work, not an unrelated paid-client case study.

The system connects supplier applications with buyer inquiries, supplier quotes, and production updates. I reviewed the live, blank RFQ creation screen: it explains that AI structures a draft, marks details the buyer did not specify, removes buyer identifiers and target price, and does not send anything until staff choose an email or WhatsApp action. No live buyer or supplier records are included in this case study.

02 / Workflow needs

The operational steps this system supports

01

Enquiries trapped in unstructured messages

Collecting supplier capabilities, certificates, and factory photos through a mobile-friendly intake flow.

02

Manual supplier vetting over phone calls

Turning buyer inquiry details into a draft RFQ that staff can check and complete before sharing.

03

Loose WhatsApp quotes without audit trails

Comparing supplier quotes and following production and inspection milestones from staff tools.

03 / What Apparo built

Three connected workflows for phone and desktop

01

Public Mobile-First Intake

A Bangla-first web flow (suppliers.sleekapparels.com/join) designed for factory managers on smartphones. Features a 5-step form capturing factory certifications, machinery lists, minimum order quantities, and a photo upload guide demonstrating proper floor lighting.

  • Clear smartphone photo guide for sewing, cutting, and finishing units
  • Legal terms verified by typed name signature
  • Zero friction — no app store download required
02

AI-Assisted RFQ Drafting

Staff paste an inquiry and add a tech pack or reference files. The screen says AI drafts a structured RFQ, marks missing details as “Not specified,” strips buyer names, contact details, websites, and target price, and leaves all outbound messaging for staff to initiate.

  • Marks details the buyer did not provide as “Not specified”
  • Removes buyer identifiers and target price before drafting
  • No message is sent until staff choose an outbound action
  • Calculates estimated delivery windows against factory lead times
03

Buyer Milestone View

The internal workflow can prepare selected production and inspection milestones for buyer-facing status updates. Staff screens are not shown in this public walkthrough.

  • A scoped view of selected production steps and inspection notes
  • Visibility rules and access details are not published in this case study

04 / Privacy & Security

The internal dashboard stays private

I reviewed the blank RFQ creation screen in the signed-in portal. It shows the workflow without exposing a live buyer message or quote. The public gallery remains focused on supplier onboarding; live buyer and supplier records, quotes, and target prices stay out of the public case study.
