From a Facebook page to your own online store: what changes
Many sellers in Bangladesh run on a Facebook page and an inbox. It works until orders pile up. This page shows what a store changes, what stays the same, and the smallest first step you can take.
How a page-and-inbox order works today
A technology commentator writing about Bangladesh describes the usual flow as manual: a buyer messages to ask about size and price, the seller checks stock, confirms the order, and calls a courier. The same piece describes sellers juggling Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram comments at once, often tracking orders in a notebook. That is one writer’s observation, not a study.
A study of Bangladeshi f-commerce published in 2025 (group discussions with 385 customers and case studies of 100 f-traders, gathered in late 2024) found that most transactions are paid by cash on delivery and generally go unrecorded.
What changes with your own store
| Facebook page and inbox | Your own store | |
|---|---|---|
| Taking the order | A customer messages, and you reply and type the details. | The customer picks the product, size and colour and enters the address. The order arrives in a dashboard. |
| Size and colour questions | Answered one by one in chat. | Shown on the product page. |
| Price and delivery charge | Repeated for each customer. | Shown before checkout. |
| Payment | Cash on delivery, or bKash screenshots you check by hand. | Cash on delivery, plus bKash and Nagad payment set up and tested in our packages. |
| Booking the courier | You copy each order into the courier’s portal. | Store Pro books the courier from the order. |
| Records | Chat history. | An order list with status and customer notes. |
| Your Facebook page | The whole shop. | Where customers find and trust you, linking to the store. |
What stays on Facebook
Keep your page. It is where customers already find and trust you. The store gives them somewhere to complete the order, and your page links to it. Our order buttons also open WhatsApp and Messenger, so customers who prefer chat are not forced out.
The smallest first step
The Starter Page is one mobile-friendly page with up to 20 products, a WhatsApp and Messenger order button, your logo and colours, and one round of changes, from ৳8,500 (excluding VAT). You buy the domain and hosting yourself, in your own name. It has no online payment, and you can upgrade to a full store later. See the pricing page.
When to move to a full store
- You answer the same size and delivery questions every day.
- You check bKash screenshots by hand.
- You copy orders into a courier portal.
- A page restriction or outage would stop your sales.
What to get ready
We start from your page. Bring your products, photos, prices, sizes and colours, stock, delivery areas and charges, and the payment methods you accept.

Common questions
What if I only have a Facebook page today?
That is fine. We start from your page: products, photos, delivery areas and prices, and turn them into a store.
Can I keep selling on Facebook?
Yes. Keep your page and link it to the store. The store is where customers complete the order.
Does a store need online payment from day one?
No. Cash on delivery and manual bKash or Nagad payment work to launch, and a payment gateway can be added later when your papers are ready.
How long does it take?
A Starter Page takes 2 to 3 working days. A store takes 14 to 21 days, depending on how quickly we receive your content and products.
